Film

Living at the nexus of typical male compulsive list creation and a love of film, I've cataloged and rated over 1,000 films on IMDB.com, which is a superb site (quietly owned by amazon.com) for movie information.  You can access my list, which includes my ratings (1-10, 10 is highest), ratings by the broad and knowlegeable imdb community, and links to all kinds of background on each film.  You will need to register (it's free) on imdb in order to access the list, but it is well worth it, as you can begin to keep track of your own movie lists.  I also use it to keep track of films I want to see, either in the theater, or on DVD from Netflix.  I'd strongly recommend you see anything I have rated as an 8, 9, or 10, and would cruise the 7's for titles you may find interesting.  Then again, you may hate my taste in films!

I've also put together a list of off the beaten track DVD rental ideas that are favorites of mine.

Rob Reiner's directorial debut, This is Spinal Tap, is a personal favorite, and I have put together a page of Tap resources for those who may be so inclined.

In addition to watching films, I also spend quite a bit of time producing them, though they tend to be far more public service than dramatic.  I've documented some of the equipment and software that I use on my video production page.
