Vinnie Colaiuta - I'm Tweaked A sick clip of hard core drumming from the winner of 18 Modern Drummer magazine Drummer of the Year Awards, including the 2006 reader’s poll of the best all-around drummer.  Just for fun Vinnie shifts the drum pattern by 1/32 at various points, rediculous.  (This is a locally stored mov file, when you click it will download, then click on the downloaded file to play it).  And once you pick your jaw up off the floor, here's a trio of Vinnie, Dave Weckl, and Steve Gadd.  A great November, 1982 interview with Vinnie in Modern Drummer.  And for a version of the classic story of Vinnie auditioning for Frank Zappa, check out the Wikipedia profile of Vinnie.

A priceless clip of Bill Cosby on the Dick Cavett show telling the story of sitting in on drums as a teenager at the Showboat jazz club in Philadelphia.  Hysterically funny, and so true.

Here is my favorite clip of the Swiss Top Secret Drum Corps, you gotta see this.

Chris Bliss - OK, he's not a drummer, he's a comedian, but he does an amazing juggling act to a Beatles tune which is rhythmically brilliant.  He should play drums.

Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez playing "Descarga For Tito" with Michel Camilo and killer bass player Anthony Jackson live at the North Sea Jazz Festival.  Yes, all the percussion is from El Negro.

My main man, Philly Joe Jones, in 1959

Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich in a Drum Battle on the Sammy Davis, Jr. Show in 1966.
